Call us before you write
The office is on Njiro Road in Arusha, behind the kennels. Someone is there on weekdays. The call-out line is answered every day, and a dog in trouble is always a phone call, never an email.

The yard is 600 metres past the Njiro shopping centre on the left, opposite the water tank. There is no sign on the road; look for the green gate and the dogs will tell you the rest.
Send a message
You have found an injured dog
Ring the line first. A frightened dog that is moved badly is a second injury and a bite.
Call, do not email
+255 754 000 111. Tell us the ward, the nearest landmark or shop name, and what you can actually see. A photograph sent afterwards on WhatsApp helps more than a description.
Keep people back
Especially children. A dog in pain will bite the person who reaches for it, and a crowd makes it worse. Stand five metres off where the dog can see you.
Do not move it, and do not feed it
Unless it is on a live carriageway. Food and water can be dangerous before anaesthesia, and lifting a dog with a spinal or pelvic injury does real damage.
Wait if you can
We reach most of Arusha within the hour and the escarpment villages within three. If you cannot stay, tell us who can — a shopkeeper, a warden, anyone who will still be there.
Fund the next clinic day
One hundred and eighty dollars puts the vehicle, the team and the drugs in a village square for a day — about ninety dogs vaccinated and twenty sterilised, at no cost to the households that feed them.
